The NIR 6400 Series is suited for Class I, II, and III hazardous locations, as defined by the National Electrical Code®, and is accompanied with the appropriate certificates required of the classification including the nameplate indicating the distinct classification for which it has been approved.

Air Pressurization Analyzer
The NIR-6410 Series (shown on the left below) is an air pressurized IR moisture analyzer suitable for Class II Div II environments where combustible dust is present under abnormal conditions.
The moisture analyzer is shown with a flange mount application interface that is used with closed conveyor equipment.
Class I Environments
The NIR-6400 Series (shown on the right below) is an explosion proof IR moisture analyzer having a heavy cast-metal enclosure and is designed for Class I Div I environments where explosive gases, mists or vapors are present under normal operating conditions.

Single-Point, Dual-Purpose Detector
The long established Quadrabeam Principle combines the measurement light path and the direct (prime) light path onto a single detector eliminating variations due to aging and operating temperature more effectively than expansive matched dual detector products. The large surface area detector (10mm sq.) minimizes error due to product height variation.
Collimated Energy Source
Effective use of power dramatically increases optical efficiency enabling the instrument to run significantly cooler. The reduced operating temparature inherently reduces stress on electronics and power supplies, increases the life of the instrument and further reduces costs associated with added temperature conditioning.

All IR products manufactured by Sensortech Systems, Inc. are warranted against defects in material an workmanship for a period of two years from the date of shipment. In the event any product manufactured by Sensortech Systems, Inc. proves to be defective during the warranty period, it will be repaired free of charge.
